The BRIDGES project

The University of Eastern Finland has received a special grant from the Ministry of Education and Culture for the years 2021-2023 to promote the well-being of students and prevent exclusion. With the special grant, the University of Eastern Finland is implementing the BRIDGES project to increase student's wellbeing and communality. The project supports the studying capacity and inclusion of students, and promotes wellbeing through peer activities, community support actions and activities.

The project has several subcontractors and one of them is Student Union ISYY. To achieve project's goals, ISYY offers students i.e.

  • activities and events to get to know fellow students
  • support for finding new friends through the Hobby Buddy service
  • peer support e.g. ISYY's blog
  • a material bank to support subject organizations, peer tutors and ISYY Clubs in developing and organizing events
  • help to find information on the maintenance of wellbeing and studying, and also the right party for various problem situations in matters related to studying or one's own health.

From the links below you find for more information on other sub-projects, data privacy and contact information. Upcoming events of the project will be announced here on ISYY's websites, in the Weekly Feed and on ISYY's social media channels.

We are constantly developing our actions so students' wishes for activities that support wellbeing are more than welcome.
