Member Data Processing 

There are two categories of Personal Data:

Personal data consist of:

• Person’s full name
• Student number
• Date of birth
• Address, postal code and city
• Place of residence
• Phone number
• Email address
• Nationality

Study information consist of:

• Year of enrolment and the year when studies have started in the University of Eastern Finland
• Attendance information
• Rights to study
• Purpose of studies
• Degrees
• Degree programme
• Membership fee information

Data is processed through the student information system Peppi. Data is processed only for the period of membership.

Where is the personal data required in processing received from?

ISYY has the right to process its members’ personal data in the University’s Peppi system. All UEF students who have been admitted to study into programmes that lead to Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, apart from the students participating in customised training (commissioned education), are members of the Student Union of the University of Eastern Finland.

The Student Union may accept also other students of the University as its members (for example post-graduate students and exchange students).
