Tour de Itä-Suomi is a cycling event in Joensuu and Kuopio, which is held for the first time this autumn.

Tour de Itä-Suomi is NOT a competition. Speed is not that important, finishing the route at your own pace is! We will offer you 3 different distances to choose from: 20km, 40km and over 75km. The route is fairly easy, it consists of paved roads. Shorter routes follow mainly bicycle or bicycle and pedestrian routes.

Tour de Itä-Suomi is arranged at Kuopio on Saturday 18.9. and at Joensuu on Sunday 19.9.

There is one service station where you are able to refill your bottles.

Service car will help you with small bike related issue.
With more severe problems, the service car will evacuate you and your bike back to the start/finish area.

Start time depend on the route you choose:

• Full route at 8 am
• 40km route at 8:30 am
• 20km route at 9 am

Finish is closed at 5pm

Registration for the event

Participation to Tour de Itä-Suomi is free for students and staff members of the University of the Eastern Finland (UEF). Registration is necessary also for students and staff members.

For other the participation fee is ten (10) euros. Registration is via Kide.app.

Registration is open on 27th of August to 15th of September.

After registration you will receive more detailed event information. Email are send on Wednesday 15th of September.
