The Student Union of the University of Eastern Finland
ISYY provides training for active members of clubs and organisations every year on both campuses. The training sessions are usually held in the early part of the year (January or February).
The aim of the organisation training is to provide the board members with the skills and knowledge that will help them in their roles. The training also covers the basic principles of how to run a registered organisation in Finland.
The aim of the ISYY club training is to provide the board members and club actives with the skills and knowledge that will help them in their roles. The training covers themes such as club finances, communications and administration. Since ISYY Clubs operate under the Student Union, the training also provides information about ISYY as an organisation, its values and practices.
According to Finnish law, event organisers are required to take care of security aspects at their events, and a certain number of Security Officers should be present to monitor that everything is done according to health and safety regulations.
ISYY organises training for Security Officers, in order to ensure that there is a pool of Security Officers who are able to work at events organised by ISYY Clubs and organisations. If you would like to attend the training or would like to hire one of the ISYY-trained Security Officers for your event, please contact the ISYY office in Joensuu.
There are no dates for upcoming training sessions at the moment.
