Get your ESN Joensuu overalls from the ISYY office!

Show your dedication to Finnish student traditions and your love for ESN Joensuu by sporting our cool blue overalls!

These weird party pants are a very traditional part of higher education students' life in Finland - overalls are the official student party outfit in Finland! They represent you and your fellow students as a collective, as every student organisation has their own overall colour. You can learn to spot people and know what they're studying at every major student event! The colours of each student organisations' overalls are listed in your ISYY student calendar. You can read more and find your own student organisation from this newsletter's In the News -section.

Overalls should also be decorated with badges. You can buy badges from the ISYY office and you can even earn a badge from different student events - the badges tell people what you like, where you've been, which team you support etc.
If you would like to take part in this tradition, come and get your blue ESN Joensuu overalls and your first set of badges from the ISYY office!

What is my Student Organisation?

Student Organisations are independent, subject-specific associations. Student Organisations gather together students who study the same subject, which allows for them to get to know their peers and work together in the field of student advocacy. It's a great way to meet new people and attend a variety of activities and events with people studying the same subject as you!

Each Student Organisation has their own overalls colour, they are listed in ISYY's student calendars! You can watch this Youtube video to learn more about the Finnish higher education overall tradition.
