ISYY Representative Council Meeting's Decisions 6/2022

In its 6th meeting of the year, the Representative Council of the Student Union of the University of Eastern Finland discussed and accepted the ISYY membership fee for the academic year 2023–2024 and elected the Central Election Committee for the Representative Council Elections that will be held in autumn 2023. The Representative Council also held a preliminary conversation about the budget 2023, which will be accepted at their meeting next week, and also changes in ISYY Rules were confirmed.

The Representative Council decided according to the following about the membership fee for the academic year 2023–2024.

• Degree Students
  • whole academic year: 75€
  • autumn semester: 37€
  • spring semester: 38€
• Post-Graduated Students
  • whole academic year: 58€
  • autumn semester: 28,5€
  • spring semester: 29,5€

In addition, the Representative Council decided about the additional 2€ payment method fee, if the student pays the two semesters separately.

At the meeting the Representative Council elected the Central Election Committee for the Representative Council Elections, that will be held in autumn 2023. In the meeting there were elected the minimum of 6 members and among them were named the chair and vice chair for the committee. The Representative Council decided that the deputy members will be named later. The term of the elected committee lasts as long as a new Central Election Committee is named.

• Saara Myllynen, member

The Representative Council will hold its next meeting next week on 24th November, when the Budget and Action Plan for 2023 will be accepted. The last meeting of the year will be held 13th December, when e.g. the Representative Council Chairpersons and the Executive Board for the year 2023 will be elected.
