Remember to submit the election documents on time!
The nomination period of candidates is soon coming to its end and the Candidate Lists and their candidates’ information must be submitted to ISYY by 1.10. at 3 pm. If you have created your list or nominated yourself as a candidate electronically, the necessary documents have already been delivered to ISYY via the electronic election system. However, if you have created your list and collected the candidates’ information in paper format, please return the documents to ISYY’s offices during opening hours or to ISYY’s mailbox. Remember to return them in good time before the nomination period ends.
The election documents consist of the following documents that you can find on the Election Documents -page:
ISYY’s offices are open this week during the nomination period as follows:
Monday 29.9. Joensuu office is open from 10 am to noon and from 1 pm to 3 pm. Kuopio office is open on Monday from 1 pm to 3 pm. On Tuesday both offices are open from 10 to noon and from 1 pm to 3 pm. On Wednesday the offices are open from noon to 3 pm.
We would also like to include the contact information of the Candidate Lists’ representatives to the ‘Representatives for Candidate Lists’ section on our website, so that we can ease the life of students who are interested in becoming candidates and interested in the different lists!
For this reason, we ask that all representatives email a short description of their list to the Coordinator for the Representative Council Elections (vaalikoordinaattori(at)isyy.fi) by 3 pm on October 1. Additionally, you can include a link to your list’s social media and/or website if you have one. We’ll publish the information sent to us of the Representatives for the lists and the descriptions for the lists on ISYY’s website as they are sent to us during office hours.
We encourage everyone to nominate themselves as candidate in the Representative Council Elections by establishing their own List of Candidates or by joining one of the already existing Candidate Lists by Wednesday 1.10. at 3 pm. You can find information about becoming a candidate or establishing a candidate list on ISYY’s website in the “For candidates” -section.
You still have time this Monday 29.9. to get to know the lists and their causes on both campuses (Carelia and Snellmania) from 10 am to 2 pm. You can also check out the slides from the election info if you couldn’t make it last week and read the answers by previous representatives to the questions asked in the election info.
