Voting for the Representative Council Elections for the Student Union of University of Eastern Finland (ISYY) is open. You can vote today Thursday 6.11.2025 until 4 pm in ISYY’s Electronic Voting System. Take part in the most important elections of your student life and decide who you want to decide on your behalf about the matters concerning you!
Voting is done electronically at isyy-vaalit.uef.fi. You can vote wherever you want, even on your couch at home with just a few clicks. Just log onto the Electronic Election System with your UEF credentials and vote on your device, which can be for example a laptop, smartphone or a tablet.
You can find the candidate who best represents you by using the Voting Aid. Check out also the Candidates on the Electronic Voting System’s Candidate Gallery. You can also find the lists and the candidates on ISYY’s webpage under Candidate lists.
Eligible voters are the members of the Student Union (ISYY) who have registered their presence at the University before 20.10.2025. In the advance voting between 27 and 31 October the voter turnout was 13.59 %, meaning 2054 ISYY members gave their vote during the advance voting. The voter turnout in the advance vote was 5.61 % lower this year than in the last elections, and You still have a chance to make an impact on raising the voter turnout in this year's Representative Council elections.
Results of the Representative Council Elections will be announced in the Election Night gatherings on 6 November in both campus cities. The Election Night gathering will be held from 4 pm to 6 pm. In Kuopio, the gathering is at ISYY office and in Joensuu the gathering has been moved downstairs to Suvas Meeting Room. You can get to Suvas either from the clubs' entrance or from Suvas' own entrance in the courtyard. Further instructions to Suvas.
You can also join the Election Night gathering virtually via Google Meet.
ISYY will announce the results for the Representative Council Elections on 6 November as soon as the results are ready. This year, the elections have altogether 136 candidates and 11 candidate lists.
At the Representative Council Elections, even one vote can make a change! You decide who decides!
