The elected Representatives form the highest decision-making body of the Student Union, the 39-member Representative Council, for the following two-year term in office.

DeeKu and Itä-Suomen Vihreä Vasemmisto celebrate their electoral victory, DeeKu receiving 8 seats and Itä-Suomen Vihreä Vasemmisto 7 seats in the Representative Council.

Candidates who received the most votes were Janina Gunnar (172 votes) from DeeKu and Sara Koskinen (109 votes) from Terveystietelijät.

The voter turnout became 20.72% (3,134 votes), which is a little lower than in 2023. In 2023, the voter turnout was 23.97% (3,464 votes). Eligible voters gave 2,054 votes (13.59%) in the Advance Voting on 27.–31.10.2025. The Elections were held completely electronically and the voting was organised in ISYY’s Electronic Election System. Seven empty votes were cast.

Third of the votes given in the elections were cast during the Actual Election Day.

– I’m glad that there were more candidates in this election than in 2023. I wish the voter turnout would have increased from the 2023 representative elections, but every vote cast in this election is meaningful. Overall, the elections went excellently, and the electronic voting system provided a good platform for voting. I wish all the elected representatives success in their roles and thank everyone who ran for elections, says Chairperson of the Central Elections Committee Julia Lautala.

The new Representative Council will gather for the first time on 27 November 2025, when the members will for example choose the Chairpersons for the new Council and appoint the next year’s Executive Board. The Representative Council’s term for office is two years.
