Use you right to vote in Election of the President of Finland on UEF campus

The election of the President of the Republic will be held in Finland 28 January 2024. On both UEF campuses, Joensuu and Kuopio, there will be an advance polling station located in the very centre of each campus. Using your right to vote can be done easily during your study day!

NB! To have a right to vote in Finnish presidential elections, you must be a citizen of Finland, who has reached eighteen years of age.

Please notice, that during the advance voting, you can cast your vote in any advance polling stations, but on the actual election day 28 January, you must vote in the station named for you in the letter sent by Finnish Digital and Personal Data Services Agendy by post or digitally via Suomi.fi online service. All advance polling stations can be seen from the Polling Station Service. The polling station named for you for the election day can be checked from the Polling Station Service. If you are not located in Finland during the voting period, you can find information about other ways to vote from the official website of the presidential elections.

Advance Polling Station in Kuopio Campus

Location: ISYY Office, Studentia-building, C-door

Opening hours: 

  • Wed 17.1. at 10-16
  • Thu 18.1. at 10-16
  • Fri 19.1. at 10-16 
  • Mon 22.1. at 10-16
  • Tue 23.1. at 10-16

The possible second round of the elections will be held 11 February 2024 and the advance voting period is then held 31.1.–6.2.2024.
