ISYY elected an Executive Board and Representative Council chairpersons for the year 2019

The Representative Council of the Student Union of the University of Eastern Finland (ISYY) elected an Executive Board and Representative Council chairpersons for the year 2019.

Susanna Haverinen (Puolueettomat) was elected as the chairperson of the Executive Board of the Student Union (ISYY). Haverinen is a student of Social Sciences on the Joensuu campus of the University of Eastern Finland. Haverinen has acted as a member of the Executive Board in 2018, in Communications sector.

The seven other members of the Executive Board are: 1st vice chairperson Aleksi Kinnunen, Ada Hyytiäinen (Puolueettomat), Ella Partanen (Vihreä lista), Aino Peltonen (Fabio), Peeta Piiparinen (Kylterit Joensuu), Susanna Remes (Keskeiset) and Saara Tenhovuori (Puolueettomat).

The term of office of the Executive Board begins in January and lasts through the calendar year. The new Executive Board comes to order at its meeting before the end of the year.

Jonni Nykänen (DeeKu), a student of Dentistry in Kuopio campus, was elected as the new chairperson of the Student Union. He has acted as a chairperson of the Student Union already during this year. Emma Mertakorpi (Keskeiset), student of Social Sciences, was elected as the first vice chairperson of the Representative Council, and Heidi Hämäläinen (ISYYn yhteiskuntatietelijät), student of Social Psychology, was elected as the second vice chairperson.
