On the up-coming weekend on 16.–17.11.2018 we will find out if ISYY’s candidate, Sara Salonen, will be elected to the Board of the National Union of University Students in Finland (SYL) for 2019. The SYL Board will be elected in the General Assembly held in Otaniemi.
The two-day General Assembly of the National Union of University Students in Finland (SYL) will be held in the Aalto University’s premises in Otaniemi on Friday and Saturday on 16–17 November 2018. The General Assembly wields the highest decision making power in SYL and elects the president and a board of six for the organisation. All 15 Finnish student unions will be represented at the General Assembly.
You can get to know the candidates for the Chairperson of SYL Executive Board and candidates for the members of the SYL Executive Board on SYL’s website. ISYY’s candidate for the SYL Board 2019 is Sara Salonen. ISYY will also send its own delegation to the General Assembly.
The Minister of Finance and a SYL alumn, Petteri Orpo, will give a speech at the Assembly on Sat 17.11. around 1.30 pm.
