Call for Applicants: Student Representatives to Trusties of UEF

The Student Union of the University of Eastern Finland (ISYY) is now accepting applications for student representative positions to the University Board, the University Collegiate Body, and Faculty Councils of the University of Eastern Finland.

Student representatives promote student issues in the University bodies and in public debate, and they also have a right to make proposals and motions in the faculty councils or the other bodies.

As a student representative in administration, you can gain valuable experience in administrative and advocacy work, and managing matters of common concern.

The Student Union is searching for:

  • two (2) representatives to the University Board

  • eight (8) representatives and eight (8) deputy representatives to the University Collegiate Body

  • five (5) representatives and five (5) deputy representatives to the Faculty Council of the Philosophical Faculty

  • four (4) representatives and four (4) deputy representatives to the Faculty Councils of the Faculty of Health Sciences, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Business Studies, and the Faculty of Science and Forestry.

In 2019, ISYY has shared student representatives’ experiences of working in administration on ISYY’s communication channels in Facebook (@fbISYY) and Instragram (@isyyuef).

All applications must be delivered using the electronic application form or in paper to the Student Union’s offices by noon Tuesday 24 September. Late applications will not be considered.
