The Wellbeing Week 5.–11.10.2020

The Wellbeing Week of the Student Union of the University of Eastern Finland (ISYY) takes place at the campuses on week 41, 5.-11.10.2020.

The theme of this year’s Wellbeing Week is the building blocks of balanced everyday life. The purpose of the Wellbeing Week is to offer the students a chance to stop amidst their studies and find tools for balanced everyday life.

- Taking care of your wellbeing and finding balance in your everyday life is especially important now that remote studying is the norm, says Roosa Ylikoski, one of the ISYY executive board members responsible for social politics.

- It’s important to find the best ways of taking care of yourself for you, for example by exercising and getting enough sleep. We want to make sure all students are aware of the local possibilities for this, says Salli Kosonen, the other ISYY executive board member responsible for social politics.

This theme will be covered on daily Instagram live broadcasts with different wellbeing operators. Also the traditional Sports Afternoon will also be hosted during the week.

The Wellbeing Week also includes other events, such as ISYY’s Smiles and Complaints Week, during which one has the opportunity to provide feedback to the university, to the student union and to other study-related parties.
