In ISYY's seventh Representative Council elections, there are 128 candidates from 10 different candidate lists.
This year, a total of 128 candidates from 10 different candidate lists are nominated in the Representative Council Elections of the Student Union of the University of Eastern Finland (ISYY). Compared to the previous Elections in 2019, the number of candidates has decreased by 21. In the 2019 Elections, there were 149 candidates and 13 candidate lists.

ISYY's Representative Council Elections will be held this autumn on both campuses in Joensuu and Kuopio. The advance voting for the Representative Council Elections takes place from 25 October to 29 October 2021 and the actual voting date is the 3rd of November 2021.
In the Representative Council Elections, a 39-member Student Union Representative Council, the highest decision-making body of the Student Union, is elected for a two-year term. The Representative Council decides, among other things, on the Student Union's budget, membership fee, action plan and rules.

Representative Council Elections are conducted entirely electronically. All students who have registered as present at the University of Eastern Finland by 18 October 2021 and who are members of the Student Union are eligible to vote in the Representative Council Elections. Voting is done electronically. Before the pre-election vote, each eligible voter will be sent an e-mail with a personal link through which the electronic voting will take place.
Each person eligible to vote may vote in the Representative Council Elections only once, and may not vote in the Elections by proxy.
