The autumn semester is well underway and International Coffee Break has returned from summer holiday - now as a Quiz Night -edition! The first International Coffee Break Quiz Night of the semester is held on Wednesday 22 September at 5 pm on ISYY’s Discord channel! We’ll start with the Kahoot quiz, but there will be time for casual chatting and getting to know each other too.
Take a break from your studies, grab a cuppa and join us to get to know new people from both campuses. All are welcome!
Eager to connect with fellow students but can’t go to campus? Want to chat away and get to know new people, but don’t know how to do so? The Student Union of the University of Eastern Finland (ISYY) has created an online platform to give an answer for your remote socialising needs: the International Discord server! Whether you want to get to know your fellow students from your own field, organise study dates, or just chat away, this Discord server is the place to find like-minded people for just that.
Of course, the ISYY Discord server, which is meant for any ISYY member (students at UEF) to be a place for relaxed, open-for-all socialising, is open all the time if you wish to socialise with other students. (Please note that this server is not meant for any official questions related to UEF, immigration services, etc., but for socialising purposes only.)
You can get started by simply clicking the link below! No registration is required, but it’ll make things easier in the long run. The channels under the category “International” are open right now, so go you can already get started! Note that the language used in the “International” category is English, other categories of the server are in Finnish.
