ISYY participates in the World Mental Health Day and Green Light for Equality -campaign!

World Mental Health Day will be celebrated again on 10th of October. The goal of the day is to reduce the stigma still associated with mental illness. From the beginning, the celebration of the day in Finland has been coordinated and made known by the MIELI Finnish Mental Health Association and the day has been celebrated since 1992. ISYY also participates in the celebration of the day, e.g. by campaigning in social media and sharing information on mental health issues during the week.

This year, the theme of the day is especially encouraged to meet young people with genuine, appreciation and equality, as the mind of every young person is valuable. There is a #greenlight campaign running all week to show off the green light for equality!

This way you too can take part in the day's celebration between 4th to 10th of October:

💚 Engage with young people – genuinely, respectfully and equally.
💚 Arrange green lighting 10.10. at 6pm or decorate green during the campaign. Share the green photo with the tags #greenlightequality #kymppikymppi
💚 Also tag ISYY (IG: @isyyuef) and we will share green pictures of our students during the week
💚 Share on social media the story of a young person's appreciative encounter or your own story when you have been seen and heard at a young age from 4 to 10 October. with the same identifiers
