ISYY Representative Council meeting's decisions 5/2025
The Representative Council of the Student Union of the University of Eastern Finland (ISYY) held its fifth meeting of 2025 on Thursday 25 September.
In the meeting, the Representative Council
- decided to nominate Emilia Enroth as a candidate for the Board of the National Union of University Students in Finland (SYL) for the year 2026.
- accepted ISYY’s new policy paper after voting about changes to the policy paper.
- elected Janina Gunnar (DeeKu) and Matilda Lahtinen (Itä-Suomen Vihreä Vasemmisto) as members of the Rules Committee, and Eetu Hyvönen (Kylterit) as a deputy member. Janina Gunnar (DeeKu) was also elected as the Vice Chairperson of the Rules Committee.
- elected Miika Hiltunen (Kylterit) and Marko Koskelo (Keskeiset) as members of the Finance Committee, and Ilmari Mäkelä (Kylterit) as the Chairperson of the Finance Committee.
- decided ISYY Joensuu office is not moving back to campus at this point, and the matter will be reviewed again if necessary.
- accepted two proposed resolutions made by Marko Koskelo (Keskeiset), one about possibilities of food help for students, and second about rights of the members of the Student Union.

The next meeting of the ISYY Council is on 28 October 2025.
