The Executive Board of the Student Union of the University of Eastern Finland (ISYY) chose Linda Chiodi as the Student Union’s Association Specialist on 12 May 2026.
36 applications were submitted for the position by the deadline, and six applicants were interviewed for the position.
According to Chiodi, they are a combination of Italian passion and Finnish “sisu” - a spirit of determination, resilience, and perseverance. They have a diverse work background in office work, including experience in HR, administration and working with people from different backgrounds.
– Over the years, I've learned that there's a solution to almost every situation – sometimes it's found through a good conversation, sometimes through humor, and sometimes over a cup of coffee. I enjoy making things clear, helping people succeed, and finding even small ways to make everyday life run more smoothly. I'm excited to be starting this new role and look forward to new challenges, learning opportunities, and the experiences ahead, Chiodi comments.
Chiodi started their work at the Kuopio campus on Monday 3 August 2026.
