The Student Union of the University of Eastern Finland ISYY is organizing the first ever Sober Disco, in other words, alcohol-free evening party for university students at Kulttuuriareena 44 on Tuesday 21.3. from 7 pm to 1 am!

What Sober Disco?

During this decade, alcohol-free parties have become increasingly popular. At ISYY's Sober Disco, you can enjoy live music and dancing and have fun without alcohol. During the evening, participants enjoy delicious mocktails and sodas. The best thing is that you won't get a hangover from these parties and you don't have to watch other people's alcohol consumption!

Who is the event intended for?

The event is open to all university and university of applied sciences students. The purpose of the event is to promote an intoxicant-free student event culture. Not everyone wants to go to a bar, but everyone can come to Sober Disco.

What happens at Sober Disco?

During the evening, the party band BileDuct will perform, whose set list will not leave anyone cold. At the gig, familiar hits from Finland and around the world will be played. There will be for example Harry Styles, ABBA, Paula Koivuniemi and Haloo Helsinki. At this gig, the audience can and should sing along! A more detailed schedule will be published closer to the event.

In addition, producer/DJ Daun Lou makes sure that at the Disco you do exactly what you are doing: dancing. In addition to instruments, Daun Lou also curates tracks on the YleX radio channel's Uuden tanssimusiikin lista (New dance music list). As a producer, he has made himself known with official level remixes, e.g. Kube and Käärijä's songs, as well as unofficial productions and mashups that play all over Finnish nightclubs.

The student association for nutritional sciences Retikka ry is responsible for the evening's food and drink and makes sure that there is food and drink available in Disco's cafeteria.
