Cycling event Tour de Itä-Suomi will kick-start the autumn season on Sunday 7 September. Offering two cycling routes of different lengths in Joensuu, the event is not a competition — you can pedal at your own pace. You will need your own bike and a cycling helmet.
The start and finish of both the longer and shorter routes are located on the university campus near the Haltia building. The route is easy in terms of terrain and is run along asphalt roads, with the shorter routes mainly along light traffic routes. On the longer route, more than half of the distance is pedalled on the edge of the road.
There is a service point along the route, and a service van will help you with any minor problems with your bike. If necessary, you and your bike can also be picked up along the route back to the start/finish area of the event.
The participation fee for the cycling event is €5 for ISYY members and €15 for others. To register for the event, please register in advance via Kide.app.
