ISYY celebrates its 5th birthday in the form of the anniversary week. Seven days are packed with events and games. Stay tuned for more information!
Monday, 9th March
The anniversary week opens with the DJ’s at the Joensuu campus. The sale of the SitSit-tickets starts! Come and get your ticket in the Carelia lobby (Joensuu campus) at 11-13.
Tuesday, 10th March
Surprise programme in the Carelia-hall (Joensuu)! – CANCELLED

Speksi-show in the Carelia-hall (Joensuu) at 13.45-14.15.

Saturday, 14th March
The anniversary weeks will culminate with the prestigious yet hilarious ISYY’s 5th anniversary celebration at the Art museum (Kirkkokatu 23, Joensuu). The evening is celebrated with the academic dinner from 6.00 pm onwards. During the dinner we’ll listen to speeches, sing academic songs and give acknowledgement to our meritious members.
The price of the anniversary is €65 for ISYY’s members and €75 for others (non-alcoholic dinner option €55/65), and you can sign up until 1 March via registration form. Come and celebrate the Student Union’s birthday! Please note. There will be a bus transportation from Kuopio and Savonlinna to Joensuu and back so you don’t need to worry the accommodation for the night. The round trip costs only 15€. Remember to sign up for the transportation in advance.
The afterparty of ISYY’s fifth anniversary will be organised from 11pm onwards in Muru. Everyone, also those who do not participate in the main celebration, are welcome to the afterparty! With the student card the entrance for the after party is free of charge.
Sunday, 15th March
The anniversary week ends with the brunch (morning after party, also known as Sillis) at the restaurant Surakka (Rantakatu 11-13, Joensuu). The brunch costs €17.
