Meeting 5/2021 of the Representative Council of the Student Union of the University of Eastern Finland (ISYY) was held on Wednesday 13 October 2021.
At the meeting, the Representative Council decided on the Student Union membership fee for the academic year 2022–2023. The Student Union membership fee for 2022–2023 for degree students is 71,50 euros. If paid per semester, the membership fee for the autumn semester is 35,50 euros and 36 euros for the spring semester. The membership fee for postgraduate students for the academic year 2022–2023 is 56 euros. If paid by semester, the membership fee for the autumn semester is 28 euros and 28 euros for the spring semester. Therefore, the membership fee will remain the same as in the current academic year. Degree students who are in exchange and want to become ISYY members as well as students studying with the continued right to study will pay the degree students’ membership fee.
In addition, the Representative Council elected student representatives for the UEF Board, the University Collegiate Body and the Faculty Councils. The selections will be published on ISYY’s website on 14.10.2021.
The Representative Council also decided that ISYY will leave the Finnish Student Sports Federation (OLL).
The meeting approved two changes to Student Union’s rules and discussed about the SU budget for the year 2022. It also had two proposed resolutions.
