The BRIDGES Project Now Has Its Own Section in ISYYs Website!

What BRIDGES? The University of Eastern Finland has received a special grant from the Ministry of Education and Culture for the years 2021-2022 to promote the well-being of students and prevent exclusion. The aim of the project is to reduce the experience of loneliness and to prevent exclusion through activities that increase students' community and well-being. The Co-ordinator of the project is Riina Pääkkönen (MAT).

During the project, ISYY offers to students:

  • activities and events to get to know fellow students
  • support for finding hobby friends through the Hobby Buddy service
  • peer support e.g. study circles
  • a material bank to support subject organizations, peer tutors and ISYY Clubs in developing and organizing events
  • help to find information on the maintenance of well-being and studying, and also the right party for various problem situations in matters related to studying or one's own health

From now on, you can also find current information about the project's events and activities from ISYY websites. Read more about what fun is going to happen during the project - the pages are constantly updated, so stay tuned for more information!
