Starting Monday 13 April 2026 Liisa Kainulainen was transferred to Joensuu campus to work as the Membership Service Specialist. Previously Liisa was located in the Kuopio campus office as the Specialist of Organisational Affairs. Liisa is the only one among the student union’s employees who has worked on all three campuses of ISYY’s history; in addition to Joensuu and Kuopio, also in Savonlinna, where campus was closed in 2018 when the teacher education department was fully transferred to Joensuu.
– I might leave Karelia, but I always come back, so it’s great to be back at ISYY’s Joensuu office after a few years away, comments Liisa happily.
During spring, Inna Siimes, Executive Board Member from autumn 2025, works as the Association Specialist Substitute in the ISYY’s Kuopio office.
– It is nice to see how things work in ISYY from a staff point of view, since working in the Executive Board got familiar during the fall, comments Inna.
On Friday 10 April ISYY published a call for applicants for the open vacancy of Association Specialist to the Kuopio campus office. Application time ends 26.4.2026 at 23.59 and the job will begin on 3 August, or according to contract. The announcement is only in Finnish because the vacancy requires excellent Finnish skills.
