Does your heart beat for graphic design? Do you want fame and fortune? We have a chance for you to shine! Let loose your creative self and design the cover of the ISYY Student Calendar for the academic year 2026–2027. The winning design will be the cover of our next student calendar, which will be available to collect in approximately mid-August 2026.
The Student Calendar is one of the best known services of our Student Union (ISYY). Your design might be the cover of your friends calendar next Autumn and that way it gives joy to their every day student life. To us it is important that our calendar looks like our members.
Send the final design via email to viestinta(at)isyy.fi by the end of Thursday 14 May 2026. Title your email subject as “ISYY Calendar 2026–2027”. Please include your contact information to the email (name, email, phone number).
Designers can send multiple designs as entry to the competition, and it is possible to enter with a design sent to ISYY’s previous calendar cover competitions over past years.
Designs submitted to the competition must be the creator’s own work. Images generated with AI, or significantly edited using AI, will not be accepted. If necessary, ISYY may request additional information from the designer about how the design was created.
The user rights of the winning design will be forfeited to ISYY.
Please keep in mind that the binding in the left side of the calendar covers approximately 15 mm of the design. Don’t design anything important to that area, because it will be cut off by the binding.
The logo of ISYY and the title "2026–2027" or "Lukuvuosikalenteri 2026–2027" or "ISYYn lukuvuosikalenteri 2026–2027" will be added to the cover.
You can include these to your design by yourself, or you can leave that for our consideration. The logo must be attached as it is, black or white, without any special effects or filters. You can download the logo from the Documents-section of the ISYY website.
Please also send us a version of the design without those elements, unless they have a big role in your design.
ISYY's Communications Team will choose the winning design by the end of May. The winning design will be published as the cover of the student calendar 2026–2027. The design will also be published in ISYY’s social media and website.
The winner will be contacted personally via email. The winner will receive a 100 euro gift card to S Group (can be used in markets like Prisma and S-market, in restaurants, hair salons, hotels etc. that operate under the S Group). The gift card must be collected from the ISYY office in Joensuu or Kuopio, it will not be sent by mail.
