Student representatives of administration represent the Student Union and thus students in different working groups and discuss on different measures with which the University’s activity would get even better.
The Student Union of the University of Eastern Finland (ISYY) declares the following student representative positions to be applied for, for the term of office lasting from the 1st of January 2018 to the 31st of December 2019.

Restaurant Commission
Restaurant Commission convenes approximately 5 times per year and makes alignments into, for example, Amica’s food offerings and marketing and follows also the sales of the meals.
Appeal Board
Appeal Board is an organ of the University, in accordance with section 82 of the Universities Act, duty of which is to process the University’s own internal decisions concerning the evaluation of studies and the student admissions.
Language Center Development and Quality Group
Language Center Development and Quality Group convenes approximately 5 times per year and decides on, for example, curriculum, processes student feedback and participates in different duties completing working groups.
Equal Opportunities Committee
University’s Equal Opportunities Committee draws up an equal opportunities program for the University for a set period of time and follows its realization. Equal Opportunities Committee follows also other indicators of realization of equality at the University. Committee convenes approximately 4 times per year.
FSHS Council
FSHS Council consists of 30 members, of which SYL appoints 16 members through the student unions. The Council convenes 2 times per year in Helsinki. Travel expenses are being refunded.
Board of Directors of FSHS unit
Board of Directors of a FSHS unit convenes approximately 2 times per year and processes the realization of FSHS’s strategy, follows indicators of the patient safety and the patient satisfaction and processes other principled important matters.
