Students' Mental Health Day is on 19th of April

Students' Mental Health Day is celebrated every spring and in 2023 the day is going to be on Wednesday 19th of April. The campaign is coordinated by an association promoting mental health among students called Nyyti ry. Students' Mental Health Day highlights the mental health situation of students and encourages everyone to take action to promote students' mental health.

This year's theme is moderation. Our everyday lives are full of accomplishment. Students' lives are about working under the pressure of different demands and goals. These pressures come from studying and related factors, but they also come from other sources. For example at their worst, financial situation, social media, social relationships and leisure activities can push you to the limit. The theme of moderation encourages us to take a timeout in our own lives and to consider how we can moderate our own lives.

There are many ways to join in the Students' Mental Health Day campaign. During the day, ISYY's BRIDGES project will organise activities for students that fit in with the theme of mental health promotion. Some of the activities require pre-registration, so read more about the activities and sign up via the link below.

You can also participate in the campaign by sharing your own experiences and knowledge about moderation and its importance for students' everyday life. You can have a face-to-face discussion with other people, but you can also post on social media.
