The Central Election Committee has created election advertising guidelines for the Representative Council elections, available in both Finnish and English on ISYY's Material Bank. According to these guidelines, you can create election materials and submit them to designated places on campus for distribution. If you bring paper advertisements to campus, remember to remove them by Friday, 7 November, at 4:00 PM. Also, ensure you have permission from the space owner before attaching advertisements anywhere other than the bulletin boards provided by ISYY.
Candidates and candidate lists can use the election templates and designs offered by ISYY for social media posts. Candidates and spokespersons can download the templates here: Communication materials for Representative Council Election candidates 2025 (Google Drive folder).
Boards have been reserved for election advertising in campus buildings in both cities. The biggest allowed size for a poster is A3. You are allowed to put up more than one poster but keep in mind that if the boards become too crowded, an ISYY employee is allowed to take the posters down. The boards for lists are available as follows and can be found in the following locations:

You can find a candidate gallery from ISYY's electronical voting system from 15. October to 6. November where all candidates and their candidate numbers are listed. You can add a picture (512x512 pixels) and an introduction text (500 characters) to the candidate gallery.
A link to fill out the voting aid has been sent to the candidates via email by SYL. The candidates had to fill out the voting aid by Sunday 19 October at 23:59 (midninght). The voting aid is open to the public since Monday 20 October.

The Student Union offers all lists of candidates an opportunity to advertise lists and their candidates on ISYY’s Instagram and Facebook accounts during week 42 (starting 13.10.) as follows:
We cannot guarantee that the posts will look like what you wish for if you do not deliver the material in a size that fits the platform. If you wish that ISYY tags your Instagram account or adds a link to your website to the stories, please let us know to which story this information should be added. In addition, we ask you to use a clear and easy-to-read font that stands out from the background if you include text to the stories.
ISYY holds the right to not publish the material if it goes against ISYY’s rules or values. ISYY staff will go through the sent material on Thursday morning on 9 October and will contact the representative by phone if the material needs modifications. The material is published on week 42 in the reciprocal order of the list of candidates.
The representative of the candidate list must deliver the material to the emails of both the Coordinator for the Representative Council Elections (vaalikoordinaattori(at)isyy.fi) and the Communications Specialist (tiedotus(at)isyy.fi) by Wednesday 8 October at 23:59. The phone number of the representative must be included in the email.
We would like to remind the representatives of the candidate lists that they have the option to send a link to the list’s website or social media to our Coordinator of the Representative Council elections (vaalikoordinaattori(at)isyy.fi) and the link will be published in the ‘Representatives for Candidate Lists’ section of ISYY’s website.
