ISYY Representative Council 7/2025 Meeting Decisions

The 2024-2025 Representative Council of the Student Union of the University of Eastern Finland (ISYY) held its last meeting of this year on Thursday 27 November.

In the meeting, the Representative Council

• accepted ISYY’s action plan and budget for 2026.
• accepted ISYY’s communications strategy for 2025–2028.
• elected Saimaa Audit Oy as ISYY’s auditor of the financial year 2025.
• established an open-ended position of a Physical Activity Counsellor for SYKETTÄ Joensuu.
• approved the result of the Representative Council Elections as voidable. The election result can be considered confirmed after the end of the period for rectification requests if no rectification request has been lodged for the election result.
• decided to update ISYY’s investment profile.
• accepted Matilda Lahtinen’s (Vihreä lista) proposed resolution about the possibility to buy sanitary pads at campuses.

After the 7/2025 meeting ended, the constitutive meeting of the 2026-2027 Representative Council started. In the meeting, the new Council elected its Chairpersons and ISYY Executive Board for 2026. You can read the announcement made of the meeting on ISYY’s website.
