HAPPY TUESDAY!

Is your exchange ending and want to get rid of unnecessary kitchenware you might have accumulated during your exchange? Or did you do a massive spring cleaning and wish to get rid of some bed sheets or towels?

You can donate your unwanted glasses, mugs, plates, kitchen utensils, pots and pans to the Student Union. We also take bed sheets and towels. We'll use them to make more survival packages for the next incoming exchange students. If you want to donate something to ISYY, you can bring the items to ISYY's offices during our opening hours. Please note that we accept only items that are still usable so nothing broken please.

In case you wish to donate your clothes (that are clean and in good condition), you can leave them in bags to UFF’s collection points. You can also leave clothes and other items to Kontti which is run by Finnish Red Cross. In Kuopio, Kontti locates in Kauppapaikka Herman, Leväsentie 2.

Have a nice week!

Kind regards,
Elina

ISYY is taking part in Yle's Million Bags of Trash -campaign on 24th May!

This spring, people all over Finland will collect one million bags of trash. For two months, regions and cities, some organisations and communities, and Yle's public figures join forces with all Finns to collect one million bags of garbage from the environment.

ISYY is taking part in the campaign and challenges all students in Kuopio and Joensuu to join our staff and board members to collect trash, so that we can help to reach the goal of collecting one million garbage bags. We will collect trash on 24th May from 10 am to 11 am in campus area and its surroundings. ISYY is giving everyone bags and gloves. Please arrive to Lukema by 10 am. The amount of collected bags is reported to ISYY and ISYY wil report the number of bags per campus to the system.

Hey freshman of 2022, collect an overall badge!

Congratulations, you have almost completed the first academic year! In the beginning of the academic year 2022-2023 ISYY organised a freshman bingo for those who started their studies at UEF in autumn 2022. The purpose of the bingo was to make ISYY services more familiar to the new freshmans. A great amount of students completed the bingo, but we still have some of the badges left.

We are now giving away our Freshman 2022 badges to those who have started their studies in UEF during this academic year. Be fast since the badges are given on a first come, first served basis. The badges can be collected from ISYY offices during opening hours.
