Hello! In the previous Weekly Feed, I told you that this newsletter will include a link to a survey asking for feedback on the actions of the BRIDGES project and ISYY's wellbeing and communality work in general. We will raffle six 50 € gift cards to S-Group among those who respond to the survey and leave their contact details, so it's really worth giving feedback! More information can be found below.

Have you already enrolled in Kilometrikisa?

Kilometrikisa is a light-hearted cycling competition for workplaces, departments, associations, clubs or any other teams. The aim is to encourage bicycle commuting and promote everyday cycling. Kilometrikisa is held between 1.5.–30.9.2023.

In Kilometrikisa every team member will record their cycling kilometers on the website and the team with the highest number of kilometers will win. Also prizes are raffled between all the participants. All students and staff members of UEF and Savonia University of Applied Sciences are welcome to join the SYKETTÄ Kuopio, Iisalmi, Varkaus team!

Calls for Application for Outgoing Student Exchange have been posted!

The application period for outgoing exchange during spring semester 2024 is open! During this application period, students may apply for Erasmus+, YUFE/Erasmus+, Nordlys or bilateral exchange. The application period ends on May 31 at 3 pm sharp – make sure you submit your application in time!

International Museum Day on 18 May

 We will celebrate an International Museum Day on Thursday 18.5. This year it coincides with Ascension Day, so it's the perfect day to visit a museum! To celebrate the day, Finnish Orthodox Church Museum RIISA (Karjalankatu 1) is offering free admission to all exhibitions on 18 May 2023. The museum will be open from 12 to 16. Welcome!

The shortest way to work - Pondi

Pondi is a new Savilahti talent pond implemented by KPY and Osuma Henkilöstöpalvelut, where the growing Savilahti area is at the heart with thousands of students and jobs. Pondi connects talents and jobs easily, interestingly and flexibly.

Talent, get to know the employers in the area extensively before you go after your dream job. Pondi enables employments of different lengths so that you can get to know different employers or work tasks already during your studies. You will get good employer contacts and diverse working life skills even before you are ready to commit to a longer-term employment relationship.

More information: The 4€ discount tickets can be purchased at the Kuopio Music Centre Ticket sales only on the day of the concert (open Mon-Fri 3-5 pm or until the beginning of the performance and on weekend 1 hour before the performance, open hours valid for the time being). The discount price is only valid if there are still tickets left. To access the discount price a valid student card chould be presented when purchasing the ticket.

If you would like to have something featured in the Weekly Feed, please send a short (max. 500 characters including spaces), informative description of the event/activity in English to either kv.kuopio@isyy.fi (Kuopio events) or kv.joensuu@isyy.fi (Joensuu events).

Please include at least the following information: date, time, place, admission fee and the event website/Facebook page. If you want to include pictures, the optimal size is 270 x 270 px.

Weekly Feed is the English language newsletter of the Student Union of the University of Eastern Finland (ISYY). You are receiving this letter on your email because you are a member of ISYY and are studying at Kuopio campus or because you have joined the mailing list yourself.

Weekly Feed provides you with current information on matters related to the Student Union, UEF or other organisations close to students, such as FSHS. In addition, the newsletter provides you with information on events taking place at campus or the campus city.
