The nomination of candidates ends 5.10.2023 at 3 pm. From the ISYY website you can find all the instructions on how to become a candidate.

Isyy.fi: For Candidates

What is ISYY Council and why do we have the elections?

According to the Finnish University Law, every university has its own autonomic Student Union, and the SU has an Executive Board and a Representative Council. ISYY Council is the highest decision-making body of our Student Union and ISYY Board makes ISYY Council's decisions into action and they also make 'smaller' decisions.

According to the ISYY Rules, the term of ISYY Council is two years and the new ISYY Council is elected every other year. The term of the next ISYY Council is 2024–2025. In the upcoming elections, which are held 8 November, our members will elect 39 students to represent all of our ~14 000 members and to make decisions about the actions, the finances and the future views of our Student Union.
