HAPPY TUESDAY!

On Saturday 5 February Finland is celebrating J. L. Runeberg - a Finnish-Swedish Lutheran priest, lyric and national poet who has for example written the original lyrics to the Finnish National Anthem 'Maamme'. The day is celebrated by eating a dessert called 'runebergintorttu', Runeberg torte, which is a rather simple pastry flavoured with almonds and either arrack or rum.

Have a nice week! :)

Kind regards,
Elina

Hobby Buddies we're looking for

The Hobby Buddy service is intended for all students of the University of Eastern Finland who want to make new friends through common hobbies and interests. By filling the Hobby Buddy application, we look for a suitable buddy for you!

There are different kinds of hobbies - e.g. you can search for a buddy for a coffee or movie company. Right now there are students in Kuopio currently looking for hobby buddies to board games, volleyball, salsa dancing, role-playing D&D and freediving.

We’ll get in touch when the right buddy is found. We read applications and combine them together once a week, usually on Fridays.
