The BRIDGES project continues also in the academic year 2022–2023!

ISYY's BRIDGES project was warmly welcomed in 2021, and there has clearly been a great urge for the project and its functions. In ISYY we are glad to say that with the project's continued funding, the BRIDGES project will also continue in the academic year 2022–2023. This means that ISYY will pursue events and activities that promote student wellbeing and community spirit.

For example, the super popular BRIDGES breakfasts and the Hobby Buddy service will continue. Recreational events will be for example day trips to nature, board game evenings, joint walks and cooking nights. And that's not all; according to the feedback and wishes given by the students, there has been planned a lot of activities for the fall that support community and wellbeing. All activities of the project are free of charge and open to all students of the University of Eastern Finland in Joensuu and Kuopio. You are always welcome to the BRIDGES events alone, because there you don't have to be alone.

You will be among the first to hear about the current events and issues of the BRIDGES by actively following the event calendar on the ISYY’s websites and the weekly newsletter Weekly Feed. Events are also announced on ISYY's social media channels.

The BRIDGES project for the years 2021–2023, funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture, includes measures to promote students' wellbeing, strengthen students' attachment to the university community, and prevent loneliness and exclusion.
