Apply to Coffee & Friends teams by 11 February!

Are promoting well-being and community important to you? Do you want to meet other students in a casual setting, or are you interested in planning relaxed activities alongside socializing? If you answered yes, apply to join the Coffee & Friends team! Previous experience with ISYY or Cafés is not necessary – enthusiasm for collaborative efforts to promote important matters is all that's required!

The cafés offer a low-threshold hangout and an opportunity to meet other students over coffee and snacks after lectures. All students of the University of Eastern Finland are welcome to the Coffee & Friends. Students can come to the café alone or with a friend. Additionally, the friendship cafés feature varied and relaxed programs.

Coffee & Friends will be held ten times between February 20 and May 25. If possible, the team's activities and the Café may continue into the fall of 2024. The team is inactive during the summer.

Team members are expected to participate in organizing events in Joensuu or in Kuopio. We also consider good English skills as an advantage. If we receive many applications, interviews will be conducted. We will contact all applicants by February 14.

It is possible to receive a diploma for working in the team, which is a valuable addition to your own CV. Participating in the café activities has provided opportunities to carry out project or exercise tasks related to studies in relevant fields. Further details can be discussed with the Coffee & Friends steering group and the personnel of your own subject. At the end of the academic year, a joint social gathering will be organized for all team members.
