We at the Student Union of the University of Eastern Finland (ISYY) are often approached by international students with the question - where could I find a job? The international sector of ISYY has created a new document including tips and information on job search and where to find support for it.
This document was created especially for the international students located in North Karelia and North Savo regions - we have numerous international talents in Eastern Finland who wish to work in Finland either during their studies or after their graduation. Although this document is created especially with the international students of Joensuu and Kuopio in mind, you can use the general tips and information to search for a job in all of Finland!
Job Search Tips for International Students in Finland combines useful information and tips about where to find either a part-time job to combine with your studies or how to land your first full-time job after graduation. To get started with your job search, you can check section 1 - Quick Guide. More detailed information about who and where to contact if you want some additional help or how to boost your job search can be found in section 2 - Support for Job Search. Section 3 - Practical Matters consists of all the important information you need about Finnish working life, such as residence permits, collective labor agreement and taxation.
The document has now been added to the ’Documents’ section on ISYY’s website and you can find it under the section ’Instructions and Guides’.
Good luck for job hunting!
